Update the changed IP address of the SDC in Security Cloud Control

This task ensures that Security Cloud Control displays the correct, updated IP address for your Secure Device Connector (SDC) when the IP address has changed.

When an SDC's IP address changes, Security Cloud Control may not immediately reflect this change. You need to manually request a heartbeat to update the displayed information.

Procedure

Step 1

In Security Cloud Control, click on the SDC that isn't showing as active.

Step 2

In the sidebar, click Request Heartbeat.

Step 3

Make sure the container is running using the command: docker ps

Step 4

View the SDC logs and check for errors using the command SDC show logs

Step 5

Restart the container using the command SDC restart

Step 6

Refresh your browser to view the updated IP address of the SDC.

The updated IP address of the SDC is now reflected in Security Cloud Control and the SDC shows as active.
