Generate an API Token
To use the Security Cloud Control API, you must have an API token. We recommend creating an API-only user in your Security Cloud Control tenant, and generating a token for it.
Procedure
Step 1 | From the drop-down list under your username, click . |
Step 2 | In My Tokens, click Generate API Token. |
Step 3 | Save the token in a secure location in accordance with your enterprise's best practices for maintaining sensitive data. The token is a long-lived bearer token used in the authorization header of REST API calls. The same token is used for both the Security Cloud Control API and the Cloud-Delivered FMC (cdFMC) API.
